Heads Collected Volume #1 "Trial Runs" ~ DVD Menu

I have been recording videos of myself creating traditional art pieces. Using this footage I have put it into time-lapse, added electronical music that a buddy of mine creates, and made a sort of music video. After getting to a collection of about 20 videos, I decided it was time to make a DVD with the first batch of videos I made.
Enter Graphic Design class Advanced Typography..... Seemed to be perfect timing to say the least. This class's final project was a design that we would be working on each week. And what do you know, it happened to be a DVD Cover and Menu design. While every other student used movies that were already in existence, I wanted to challenge myself and create a design that started from scratch and could have very well been a job that someone commissioned me to do. Anyway, this was the results for the DVD Menu!
The yellow glow around the top is basically the representation of what it would look like when something was selected. If you saw the cover design in my gallery, you will notice one thing I changed was the gradient in the brush strokes where the titles are. I did this because I felt that when this was on a TV screen, the gradients may not look the best and was best to simplify things for the menu.
